About Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology with Zoology
The department of Biotechnology also offers a unique programme B.Sc. Biotechnology with Zoology.
This course gives a basic foundation of plants and animals of all the fields of specification like
genetic engineering, statistical application wildlife preservations, microbiology, tissue culture
biotechnology, clinical laboratory techniques, environmental issues faced by the different types of
identification of diseases, pollution, their control measures, and causative organisms and the like.
The course ensures that the students study major subjects like quantitative biology,
invertebrates, genetics, cell biology, structural biology, animal biology, biostatistics,
environmental biology, developmental biology, immunology, computations in life sciences,
biotechnology, microbiology and the like. The department with its elite team of faculty members
enables the students delve into research on plants and animals too. They also work on various
projects and assignments to increase knowledge and skills in this field.
Apart from the regular classes, various Personality Development and Aptitude Training
Programmes are conducted regularly focussing on the wholistic development of students by the

Program Overview
