About Master of Social Work
A Post Graduate degree from Rungta in Social Work, focuses on making the students gain a deep,
nuanced understanding of people. The course provides a path to starting or developing a career that
focuses on people in many different ways – from resolving social problems and providing care,
support and justice to a particular community group, to developing new insights into culture,
society and the creative process.

Program Overview
- Developing Professional Skills: To make them competent professional with their required skills to provide professional services, integrating interdisciplinary knowledge and Social Work values with practices to address social needs.
- Ethics and Social Responsibilities: Develop a professional identity as a social worker by applying professional values and ethics to social work practice. Understand the responsibility of conducting or transferring one’s knowledge, skills and expertise to community (Community can incorporate local, municipal, national and international scope).
- Skill and Leadership Social Entrepreneur Program Outcomes: To attain professional knowledge and practice to work in different fields of Social Work and also to become Social Entrepreneur establishing their own concerns.
- Understand Social Work: Make the student understand social work as a profession and to recognize the need and importance of social work education training and practice.
- Develop Professional Skills and Team Work: Enhancing necessary skills such as assessment skills, communication skills, advocacy and leadership, problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, respect for diversity, intervention skills, documentation skills, organizational skills, understanding of human relationships.

- Research and Application: Provides leadership by conducting empirical research activities designed to shape more effective public/tribal family intervention practices and provide supporting data for policy changes that enhance family well-being.
